The Korean Diabetes Association invites you to the 2019 International Congress of Diabetes and Metabolism (ICDM 2019), which will take place from 10th to 12th October 2019, at the Grand Hilton Hotel in Seoul, Korea.

Since the first ICDM in November 2011, we have been involved in activities to provide a venue for promoting and developing diabetes research in Asia and fostering fellowship and information exchange among various related professionals, and we are now expanding our activities as the worlds leading association in the diabetes sector. With an annual average of over 1,500 professionals in 35 countries, we have become an institution that can grasp basic knowledge as well as new trends in the latest treatments and devices. In addition, we are gradually expanding our limits as an association that grows together with the IDF-WPR member countries by running Asian training sessions while educating physicians as well as major medical staff and assistants in fields such as nursing, nutrition, coordination, and management.

Dr. Graeme Bell (The University of Chicago, USA) and Dr. Vivian A. Fonseca (Tulane University, USA) will share the latest emerging issues in ICDM 2019, and there will be over 20 symposium sessions on diabetes management and presentations on various research ranging from advanced basic research to the latest evidence-based treatment strategies. "Comprehensive education course for Asian diabetes educators" will be held in the same place on 13th October 2019, after ICDM 2019.

With 22,000 general members and 3,500 professional members, the Korean Diabetes Association, which marked the 50th anniversary of its foundation last year, has grown into an institution with rich experience and insight. At ICDM 2019, we will have a beneficial time to increase knowledge and provide practical help through satisfactory agendas and results.

We are looking forward to seeing you at ICDM 2019.

Yours sincerely
